If you’re moving and your utility company stays the same:
If you move within your utility’s service distribution territory, just let us know and we will transfer your subscription to your new address. We’ll need four months of electricity use at your new address to determine the size of your subscription for optimal savings. You will continue to earn credits and be billed for community solar until your current utility account is turned off. It's possible that you won't have a community solar bill or earn any new savings related to your subscription for a period of time.
If you’re moving but you have a different utility company:
If you are moving outside your utility’s service distribution territory, you can cancel without penalty in most cases. You will need to call your utility to determine if you are eligible to receive a refund for banked credits. Review your subscription agreement for additional details. If you're moving to another area where we offer Community Solar, we may also be able to transfer your subscription to another solar farm. Please get in touch with us for more information.
How to request a move
The best way to request a move is to contact our awesome Customer Experience team who will send you a Transfer of Service Form. Fill out the form and any attached documents and email/mail them back to our Customer Experience team.
